Why does that bother you? You felt moved to contribute, didn't you? As you say, and as I've said many times; 'to each their own'.

However, the right to reply to any post lies undiminished by your contribution; doesn't it?

It doesn't bother me per se. As I did not read it I cannot
comment on its content.

But it does bother me when people deliberately post off-topic
items just to annoy the rest of the group.

People can open whatever threads they wish, though I appreciate and agree abou the annoyance. It's when they can't accept the criticism of their views, or display a complete paucity of argument when challenged about them which provides the entertainment in these OT and unnecessary threads.
