Absolute cracking afternoon here, with little wind a a mid afternoon max of 11.8C A good few in the sea at Perranuthnoe, where is was sheltered from the NW breeze. Couple of pics http://www.easterling.freeserve.co.uk/pn.html (Look away Alan!) They're hardy souls.... SST between 9.5C and 10C, brrrr! I haven't surfed at this time of the year for many years now. Need the SST to reach +15C before I am ready to venture in (wetsuit required). I had a paddle on the beach on Friday and my toes went numb. The SST is 8.5C in Lyme Bay at the moment so a tad below normal. On this day last year the SST was 9.7C. Hard to believe the offshore SST reached a rather pleasant 20.8C last July. -- Nick Gardner Otter Valley, Devon 20 m amsl http://www.ottervalley.co.uk |
