We know what your snide little post was about larry. As I said before *just* talk about the weather and no-one including me, would have any complaint.

The trouble is that you can't and you try to impose your far right wing, crappy and foul views at every possible opportunity in your posts. When you do, expect challenge. Then expect to have to deal with the challenge - or don't dobit and stick to just talking about the weather.

Geddit? Just the weather.

So for someone who says to killfile is childish you prefer the straight-forward good old fashioned censorship. You have no power or authority over me, you are a jumped up little hitler . I'll say no more not because of you, but because this is just absolute madness and its not fair on the others, even I know when to stop on the odd occasion.

Well, that was fun, wasn't it. Another thread ruined by Paul Garvey, USW's very own Cupid Stunt. I hope he's going to clear up the mess but as Alan Bennett would say, "he won't, will he". BTW, Lawrie, I'm not *very* leftish, just markedly and persistently so. Be fair! Don't be a Dawlish!

Tudor Hughes, Warlingham, Surrey.

Another thread ruined by hughes parachuting in where no-one wanted him, then entertaining the masses by struggling like hell, like he always does when he tries this.

You've lost the plot hughes. The issue is the foul little term 'methers' which you apparently feel is perfectly OK, but you don't want to talk about that any more, you'd rather attempt deflection by castigation. It's not working, as I'll ignore the abuse and drag you back, kicking and screaming, to the main issue every time.

Like I said, where does your discrimination end? It's a short step towards a labelling culture which you probably wouldn't like, but yet you are happy with larry labelling the people in his local park as 'methers' when he has no idea whether they have addictions, or not. Indeed, he has absolutely no idea who those people are; he's just typically worried by people who may not be similar to him. He feels the same way about travellers, East Europeans and other races in his local area and has said so on here several times. Do you agree with him on those scores as well?

The thread is only 'ruined' (for you and larry) because you haven't been able to pursue your joint discrimination as you liked, because I've intervened to stop you, so you've taken to attempting to abuse me instead. laughing

Next time, think a little of the consequences before descending from your tree. It will help you greatly.

Blimey! I'm a racist!

Are you? That's news to everyone, but you are discriminatory in supporting larry's mad views, aren't you?

Read my post again (the second in the thread) and you will see that far from "supporting Lawrie's view" (whatever that means) it actually contains a gentle dig. Sorry for indulging in such subtlety - I hadn't anticipated that yours would be the next post. The distortions you indulge in to get at somebody are an absolute disgrace. You even accused me of "ruining the thread" when is starkly clear for all to see that it is *your* first posting with its ludicrous hyperbole that starts all this off. Facts such as this seem to mean nothing to you. People notice this kind of thing, you know, if my inbox is anything to go by. You don't want to see it, believe me.

Tudor Hughes, Warlingham, Surrey.

See the newsgroup racist? Posting again with his appallingly discriminatory language? What's the difference between the word 'paki' and the word 'mether' to the recipient?

Your answer to that one will be very revealing.

Okay I took your bait.

'Methers' or people who consume methylated spirits, is a descriptive word and reflects the real world. The idiocy that you are presenting is atypical of a totalitarian regime where all descriptive language is erased because it endangers the suppression of free speech. Based on your intolerance you would burn most books fictional and factual, reminds me of a certain period in history just before WWII .

Getting back to the use of insulting /offensive language: are you saying that by demeaning all that disagree with you with the derogatory 'idiot' which is an inference on a personal level aimed at individuals, suggesting that they may have a 'learning disability', is far less "foul" then a general term aimed at not any particular person?

That is precisely what you are saying. Once I thought you had a methers to your madness , but not anymore.

There isn't going to be an answer because the question is purely inflammatory and serves no other purpose. You may protest otherwise but we all know what you're about.
Lawrie has provided you with an honest answer, which is far more than you deserve because you would never have the courage to do such a thing. It wouldn't surprise me if the medical profession themselves used the term "methers" or "alkies" at least in private. What they'd call you defies the imagination and probably the dictionary as well.

Rubbish. It's a completely fair question after your responses on this thread.

Lawrie has provided you with an honest answer, which is far more than you deserve because you would never have the courage to do such a thing.. You imagine things. That's simply a fabrication. No-one would use that term in public life and you know it. And to end your little sidestep, you've resorted to abuse again,

Tudor Hughes, Warlingham, Surrey.

It was a highly discriminatory statement from larry, with which you've agreed. Isn't it?

Incapable of answering the question? How about if I try my question again. What is your PC term for calling individual who have chosen to consume alcohol all day long?

No answer and no more from me; you're a time-waster, probably the least of the highly undesirable facets of your personality that you have brought to this group. You have contributed nothing; your meteorological knowledge is that of a mere dilletante despite your pompous bullying attempts to persuade us otherwise. Get over whatever it is that has turned you into such a poisonous presence and try and learn some meteorology. Be thankful you haven't been beaten up. Above all go away and stay away.
