Temperatures mid afternoon yesterday:-
St Ives 9C - typical of the north coast from St Ives to Pendeen Cliff top at John Chappell's Lands End site (offshore NE wind) 20C So the sheltered Porthcurno to St Loy area almost certainly reached 21C Penzance peaked a bit lower at 19.0C, as it was affected slightly by the NE breeze through the Hayle-Marazion gap. So a 12C (possibly more) difference over the 5 miles between the coasts. 8C-10C is not that uncommon in a Spring sea fog set up, but 12C is going some. Much more even today, the north coast now around 14C, 5C warmer than yesterday afternoon! Warming up nicely this morning, 14.2C @ 09:00 after a minimum of 8.6C in Penzance. Visibility out of the fog was good to very good yesterday. Hazier today http://www.sennen-cove.com/harbourcam.htm Graham Penzance |
