This April is turning out to be another drier than average and sunny
month, continuing a trend set last December. April 2015 (1st - 18th) Mean maximum = 5.2C Mean maximum = 16.5C Mean = 10.9C Rain = 5.2 mm Sunshine = 150 hours. 13 days so far this month have dawned sunny. 12 days have had a clear sky at dusk with the sun setting as a red, fiery ball. There have been no air frosts this month and my latest air frost I have ever recorded has been the 21st April, so hopefully I now don't expect any until the autumn. 2015 so far: Rainfall = 171 mm Sunshine = 520 hours Only 3 out of the last 12 months have been wetter than normal. Now what was that link that Philip Eden discovered between sunny, dry Aprils and cool, wet summers....... -- Nick Gardner Otter Valley, Devon 20 m amsl http://www.ottervalley.co.uk |
