When you'd got over the al fresco bum banditry what did you think of the article? I thought it was interesting, particularly the fact that there were no weather forecasts before Fitzroy decided there should be. I'm sure there were local pundits, though, eg Gilbert White. I thought the first weather forecast was recorded in Genesis when God told Noah that a flood of biblical proportions was coming (red alert take immediate action) and according to some it was spot on!
