When you get past the alarmist lead and read as far as the "small print"
though, you find a Met Office spokesman saying 'there is a small
increase in the risk of a colder than average winter this year'. I think
that probably puts it in a better perspective.

You had to go and ruin it, didn't you John. That's it winter is over.

John

I realise that the Mail had entirely distorted what the guy at the Met Office had said and fabricated a story round it.

What I was getting at was the plethora of stories in recent weeks of meteorological events that El Nino is set to influence in the coming months. I'm surprised that they've found no causal link between a Conservative government and an El Nino event, but I'm sure it won't be long before they do!

"Be nice to get a flake next winter " Don't worry I'll still be using the NG.

Well you'll be better off leaving the SE ( no longer a good place for snow),
go north (or higher up), preferably north *and* higher up. Housing is much
cheaper up north too!
