I know we are getting used to it ,but current temps around the country
of just over 10c are rather like mid March rather than late May,
but yet it is being largly ignored by the media especially the Met Office.
Thought it should be worthy of some comment, even by Norman !

It's always parky here Ron. Monthly mean to date is 9.2C which is cooler
than any May in Epping from 1979-2013. Plenty of sun here though.

It's lovely!
11.1C here in warm sunshine now.
Not looking forward to 25C later next week :-(

In some shelter down at the Minack http://www.minack.com/webcams.htm

Just topped 15C in Penzance after a dip to around 12C at the back of the cold front around noon.

The sharp temperature dip shows up clearly at St Ives http://www.nci-stives.org/weather/Cu...antage_Pro.htm , where it's still 2C down on the mid morning temperature due to the stiff onshore wind.

In tropical Sussex at the moment, Ron, in double figure temperatures. A
tad wet this morning driving over from South Wales.

I rarely remember to write in my weather diary unless it is particularly
noteworthy but I see the last three May 29th's have been miserable, cold
and wet although later this afternoon was quite pleasant.

I don't think it means "preceded by a bit".

Failed to even reach 10°C here yesterday, a max of just 9.8°C.
*Surely* the last single digit max until the autumn?

A min of 3.7°C last night too, so definately a bit parky.

The change to much warmer conditions can't happen soon enough,
I'm sick of these endless cool north westerlies.
