Not Europe -1.6 -17.6 - Summit(3202m)Greenland

For anyone interested in Greenland there are two sites here with more info:
This site has 30 day history of Greenland Summit temperatures:
http://www.ogimet.com/cgi-bin/gsynre...04416&ndays=30
Will the rise intemperature continue?

and this site shows the area of melting on a daily basis:
http://nsidc.org/greenland-today/
It the temperature reaches 0C will the melt area equal 100%?

Cheers, Alastair.

I have seen Summit above zero before now and I'm sure that it wasn't even summer.

The second link is very interesting - there seems to be more climatology on Greenland than there is here in the UK. I suppose its down to the fact that its covered in ice which satellite sensors can measure quite easily.

Rember that these temperatures are taken from 3 hourly dry bulb, so I
would expect the maximum to higher.
