We may have missed out on the latest surge of hot air from the south
but Latvia got it right in the eye, I know as my brother's on holiday there! There's an official severe weather alert in force in Latvia for extreme high temperature locally of 33 deg C until Saturday (yesterday's max 31.4, Riga Airport, higher elsewhere). Mean maximum for August in Riga appears to be about 20 deg C, phew what a scorcher! -- Dave Fareham (W) maybe Riga by tomorrow... ![]() |
