[OT] Extreme high temperature alert in Latvia (33 deg C)
We may have missed out on the latest surge of hot air from the south
but Latvia got it right in the eye, I know as my brother's on holiday there! There's an official severe weather alert in force in Latvia for extreme high temperature locally of 33 deg C until Saturday (yesterday's max 31.4, Riga Airport, higher elsewhere). Mean maximum for August in Riga appears to be about 20 deg C, phew what a scorcher! -- Dave Fareham (W) maybe Riga by tomorrow...  |
