Default Heavy rain

Started raining at 7.10 and 16.8mm had fallen by 7.50. Took the dog at 7.15, got completely drenched, even though we walked in the woods!

An unusually high rainfall rate and the weather warnings were completely justified. Will have caught many out on their way in to work after the superb weather we've had this weekend.

Sorry, still raining, not quite as heavily, but still moderate rain.

Yes, looking at the totals I estimate from weather radar it looks like Camborne has the highest accumulation in the SW of 31.6 mm (0000-0830 UTC) so far.

Here in Bradninch we have had 13 mm and currently a rainfall rate of 24
mm/hr.

Front seems to be stalled over south Devon at the moment.

If you'd checked the rainfall radar at 7am www.raintoday.co.uk you'd have known it was about to chuck it down, & probably not a wise choice to take the dog for a walk at 7:15.

I'd give up on your 10 day forecasts, get the basics right first & learn how to forecast the next 10 mins!!

Given there is no quote I simply presume you are talking about dawlish! Am I
right? There were warnings issued by the MetO for yesterday too. My dog
won't go out in very heavy rain, despite being used to it by now :-)

Just think, without the stupidity of a killfile, you could post to me directly, instead of vicariously, peeking through other people's posts. *))
