Default Total for Wembury

A rain total in my 5 inch gauge of 25.2 mm
over the 30 hr period 0400 13th Aug to 1000 BST 14th Aug.

No thunder or lightning observed, unless I slept through it, which would be unusual as I am a light sleeper.

Len, just checked the 5" gauge and 32.4 mm has fallen since 18:00
yesterday. That brings the total for the whole rainfall event to 36.9 mm.

The August eLTA rainfall total now well and truly passed and despite the
dry June, this summer is turning out wetter than normal.

It seems as if this summer has been in a slow terminal decline since the
24th July, though there have been a few glorious days thrown in as well.
The forecast is looking like that decline may reverse....

Still, got a long way to go until the proper summer warmth runs out,
usually towards the end of September. And if September is even half as
good as last year, I'll be happy:

Sept 2014
Mean maximum = 22.1C
Mean mininum = 11.3C
Mean = 16.7C
Rain = 9.8 mm
Sunshine = 195 hours
Days 20C = 30 days.

60.9 mm event total here Len. 35 hours of non-stop rain and no thunder.
Nothing special for Dartmoor of course, just a bit of rain. Ground has
soaked it all up nicely with no issues whatsoever.
