I was the first one to ever mention it but due to your global warming
zealotry and contempt for me, you were the last know.

1. I remain somewhat of a sceptic as to the anthropogenic component of GW.

2. I've set your posts to be automatically marked as read (a stage below
KF), so I only see them 2nd hand , if someone replies to them.

Precisely

I have to tell you that your habit of leaping to erroneous conclusions
based on minimal evidence, is one of the main reasons you *get*
kill-filed in the first place.

Why on earth do people kill-file? You won't die if you read rubbish and sometimes it can be quite funny. There's always the option of simply not reading it just as there is of not buying the Sun newspaper.

If I know someone is a racist, homophobic prat, say, why would I need to
keep confirming it by reading every piece of twaddle with which they
pollute this group? I just leave it to the newsreader to mark it as
read.

I assume that you get every single newspaper, regardless of its
politics and accuracy, delivered to your house and read every one from
cover to cover? If not, you are not being consistent.
