This afternoon's sunshine has done little to stop this month from being
very, very 'dull' so far. Monthly sunshine total now up to only 115 hours. It has also been extremely wet and as with July, the majority of that rain falling in the 2nd half of the month. Total monthly rainfall to date stands at 124.5 mm. I thought this year would be another 2000+ hours sunshine year but this August is likely to scupper that unless the autumn and winter are rather sunny. Annual sunshine total now at 1336 hours. -- Nick Gardner Otter Valley, Devon 20 m amsl http://www.ottervalley.co.uk |
