It's not actually causing me a problem but this one is a bit of a
mystery to me. I am running WeatherLink 6.0.3 on this standalone device (Justop) which is connected to my WiFi and all works fine. What is mystifying me is that I always leave the [Monitor Bulletin] displayed. Three times now I have noticed when I turned on the monitor the Bulletin is no longer displayed, the window where it normally is displayed is just grey. At first I thought the PC had had a Windows 10 update which in turn automatically rebooted the PC, and I have WeatherLink in the startup folder so it runs fine and I lose no uploads to the internet, but of course the Bulletin wouldn't display, this can only be done manually. Checking windows update history, this hasn't been the case and infact WOW has continued running and looking at WOW's command window that hasn't been restarted and has continued unaffected. As I say, it's not a problem because it's still doing what I want it to do, but can't find anything in the Help files on this but wondered if anyone else had experinced this and whether this was normal. Thanks Merely turning the monitor off, either through hibernate, power-saving timeout or using the switch, my WLink 6.0.3 comes back in whatever window I had open. If I close WLink, or reboot the PC, it starts in the grey, no-window-open state. This has IIRC always been so. I'm running W8.1 -- John www.weather.johnwnice.co.uk |

Just went out to make a cuppa I come back and WeatherLink is just displaying the grey window! WOW hasn't been affected, so PC hasn't re-booted. Like I say it's not a problem just realy odd... -- Keith (Southend) "Weather Home & Abroad" http://www.southendweather.net Twitter:@LawnscienceEssx |

I had an idea that it was tied in some way to files uploading to our web site because if I switched off file uploads it didn't seem to do it. However, I could never tie the two together with absolute certainty. Sometimes it goes for several days without misbehaving and at other times does it several times a day. -- Alan White from his iPad, ****ed off in hospital because his repaired ten week old replacement hip has popped. |
