Default Washout Bank Holiday

The weather forecast for Wolverhampton was for the rain to die out by
about 11am. However, it rained intermittently throughout the day. It
seemed another line of rain as formed during the day, it stretches from
Newcastle down to Worcester via Manchester and Birmingham, is this a
second warm front or a trough?
