Summary for August 2015
Temperature (°C): Mean (1 minute) 17.9 Mean (min+max) 18.1 Mean Minimum 13.5 Mean Maximum 22.7 Minimum 4.1 day 27 Maximum 31.4 day 22 Highest Minimum 18.3 day 20 Lowest Maximum 15.5 day 31 Air frosts 0 Rainfall (mm): Total for month 79.8 Wettest day 18.4 day 24 High rain rate 40.2 day 24 Rain days 12 Dry days 19 Wind (mph): Highest Gust 15.9 day 01, 03 Average Speed 2.3 Wind Run 1693.8 miles Gale days 0 Pressure (mb): Maximum 1025.8 day 08 Minimum 996.9 day 24 Total hours of sunshine 119.9 This August was the third dullest since 1881. I've seen mentioned recently that August used to be regarded as an autumn month. For the past couple of years the final 'summer' month has been very disappointing for anyone looking for fine weather - much more akin to September or even October. https://wansteadmeteo.wordpress.com/...and-very-dull/ |
