"“Our various data-feed suppliers have, for years, been making ‘guesstimates’, marking them with an asterisk, and claiming, wrongly, that they were the previous day’s sunshine figures..." The same applies to the Telegraph, whose figures often bear little resemblance to reality. One would like to think that they would follow the Guardian's lead, but it seems unlikely.
