Frontal rain set in at 0640 this morning and now at 1000 there is 19.8mm in
the gauge. Max. rate 55 mm/h. Very dark this morning with widespread fog accompanying the rain. Seems to be the first proper heavy rain on east Dartmoor for a while. Cold front has come through with a 2C temperature drop, now +10.6C. Another rainband out to the west which will add to the total but for the time being the rain has eased to moderate intensity.
