Our local BBC TV news said there was a special debate today in Westminster about the UKMO losing its contract with the BBC.
Someone was worried that the new provider of forecasts for the BBC would issue a different forecast than UKMO in times of bad weather. Apparently though the BBC says they will continue to issue the UKMO weather warnings. Thank goodness for that. I don't know what I would have done without the yellow warning for rain today. ;-) Len Wembury, SW Devon |

I need a warning for 40mm+ not piddling little amounts. Worth a warning, I would have thought? |
