If @From' equals 'some email address' then 'delete This works for me. Just add for each email address you wish not to see. I couldn't find a 'killfile' option per se. |

For a beginner the quickest way is right click on the offender's From address in the headers and select "create filter from" bottom ooption in popup box and it will populate the fields for you. Change (*) Match all of the following to Match any and then you can add other rabid loons to the same basic filter by clicking "+". Name the filter "Rabid Loons" or "Netkook" according to taste. You can add extra fields and block spam injecting newservers by adding a few extra header fields too. Minor irritation for news is that the filters only act on new incoming headers and not on stuff already here. Whereas filters applied to email can be used against a selected folder to test their behaviour. PS If anyone has found a satisfactory wildcard or regex addin for TB I would be very interested to hear of it. It is the only thing I miss in TB relative to the venerable TurnPike. -- Regards, Martin Brown |

Rather than "delete", I use "mark as read" as that maintains the thread structure. OK, I'm talking about Claws but I vaguely remember that TB had the same option. Claws also can change the colour so if a thread looks overwhelmingly red (the colour I select for the loony-tunes), I just ignore the whole thing by clicking on the "ignore thread" button. -- Graham P Davis, Bracknell, Berks. That right click doesn't work for me but it seems to lead to the same place as Metman's directions which do work. You can run away from the truth Col, but a race war is building again, it'll take about 30 years to solve. Just like the 1960's to the 1980's, the pakis and blacks were seen as unwanted foreigners and criminals, so the economic immigrants coming into Europe are seen as today. --- This email has been checked for viruses by Avast antivirus software. https://www.avast.com/antivirus |
