The temperature was only 2C when the heavy, near torrential rain
arrived, but surprisingly no splodges of sleet or wet snow present. Temperature now up to 4.6C but I bet in the strong wind it feels like.......... ;-) Dave S.Essex, 0930 |

Rain easing now but 7.4mm (0.29") so far this morning. Current temp now 5.4°C. -- Keith (Southend) "Weather Home & Abroad" http://www.southendweather.net Twitter:@SS9Weatherman |

At its heaviest it was almost "proper" snow, before easing off and turning back to mostly rain. About two miles to the north is Pitch Hill, which rises to over 800ft, so I imagine that there must be at least a couple of centimetres of lying snow up there. -- John Hall "Honest criticism is hard to take, particularly from a relative, a friend, an acquaintance, or a stranger." Same in Wanstead - just cold, heavy rain. As ever 100 - 200m elevation makes ALL the difference

It feels cold in the Northerly though. Brac, NE Suffolk. |
