When this site was mentioned recently I knew it rang a bell and finally
I remember. I last looked at it when I was in Epping and noticed that
for Cranfield Airfield (Beds)* they seem to have their Easts and Wests
(of the Meridian) mixed up. I sent them a message about this but no
acknowledgement and nothing has been changed.

That would explain why there are a number of air bases in the sea off
the Lincolnsire coast.....

Whilst there are lots of bells and whistles on the site the data sources
are a bit thin on the ground. For Epping they use Stansted which is 20km
away and for where I am now they use Edinburgh Airport which is
relatively close for Scotland at 10km.

All the sites appear to be airports/airfields of some description. Or at
least I can'tever recall seeing one thatwasn't.

Individually sites such as this display what data they can access in a
perfectly good manner (apart from those offshore airfields). However it
would be really good if we had straightforward access to AWS sites run
by UKMO.
