Didn't expect this Moderate snow with temperature now down to 1.7C Well you were in the cold air and with heavy precip lowering the wet-bulb freezing level, it happens! Going to be colder than expected in the south tonight too after the cold front looking at the low values over Eire this afternoon. ![]() "George Booth" wrote in message ... Didn't expect this Moderate snow with temperature now down to 1.7C Badly worded yellow warning (with the wrong day in the assessment) hastily duly issued. "The snow now falling .... " LOL takes me back to the old days of forecasting. However this was clearly not forecast as no sign of any gritters up here this afternoon. The local snow line is currently around 450' asl. Complete cover here, although just a couple of cm.
