It began at the end of October and still it goes on, day after day after
day of uninspiring cloud, gloom and mild.
Today is no exception. A bit of a dry spell this morning when hard
surfaces actually dried out, wow! But late morning onwards it has been
raining and the fog is coming back down the hill and all surfaces are once
again sopping wet. Temperature has been up and down and is now +12.3C.
Max. so far +12.7C (so not record breaking). Forgotten now when I last saw
the sun, but I will on my long walk on Sunday when the rPM air comes in
and shifts all this ****e away eastwards.

PS also cannot remember the last time we had a starry night either (a very
long time ago). Sad because I love seeing the Milky Way and the thousands of
stars.

Not much astronomy going on here either but last Sunday night (13/14th) there was a spell of clear sky with very high transparency and the stars of Orion etc hit you in the eye. Saw the moon for a bit a couple of nights ago. It's still out there, all this stuff.
This afternoon (17th) under the glorious Sc I recorded my highest December temperature of 14.3°C in 32 years.
