It is interesting in that this station has often been called into
question. It is generally for record summer temperatures though. I have debunked many of the stupid reasons given like it is 2 miles from a power station but this one does seem a bit out. Usually it compares very closely with my AWS as I am just 10 miles away, albeit on the other side of a fairly wide stretch of the Thames. Today I got a max of 14.7C and 4 other accurate amateur stations very close to me failed to make 15C. Gravesend was 16.2C. Just one of those things probably but it may raise more eyebrows.
