The date record today is only 14.4C. Almost certain to go.
I think it may have already been beaten and by the most unlikeliest of stations. Great Dun Fell is reporting 14.7°C at 0900 UTC, which kind of corroborates the 0800 temperature of 14.9°C. The wind is meaning 40kts from 230°. On the lee side of the Pennines you could get 16°C or higher I would have thought, although Leeming has only 12.5°C at the moment. |
