Continuous moderate or heavy rain and drizzle since circa 0900 on 26th. F5
to F7 wind depending on exposure. Event total for Haytor so far is 40mm but at Postbridge (369m asl) it is now up to 131mm. Postbridge is not the most exposed spot either. In this airmass that will be up on and around Ryders Hill (500m asl) where I estimate that circa 200mm will have fallen so far. Needless to say the moor is sopping wet and water is flowing everywhere. The river Dart is in spate and the serious kayakers will be relishing the exciting conditions. No impacts locally apart from the usual dampness everywhere one gets in these conditions. My patio is still waterlogged but water is running away nicely downhill. Colder and dry tomorrow with some sunshine, that'll be a change, one day wonder though, LOL. Will -- " Some sects believe that the world was created 5000 years ago.
