[OT]: record high February temperature for Toronto on 3rd February 2016
The new record is 15.5 deg C (at Pearson airport). The previous highest February temperature was 14.9C of Feb 23rd 1984. Not only is the new record an impressive 0.6 deg higher but it's much earlier in the month. An abnormal lack of snow on the ground helps but so does pumping a shed-load of Gulf of Mexico air far northwards (with sunshine). In a 6-8 days' time the high there will be around -5C. Stephen. |
