This really has been a very dry Northerly/Easterly episode as evidenced by Ken's post, I mean, how often does he bother reporting 1cm of snow?
We had a few flakes Wednesday and Thursday evening and a few flurries either side of midnight, but that's been it. Things could have been very different with a subtle change in wind direction, as numerous showers streamed down the North Sea earlier in the week and if it had swung not many degrees to the North from NW and add a bit of convergence, then we'd have been looking at 30cm+. Mind you, the mean min is more normal this month, now below 0c with 16 air frosts, but day max on the warm side. DM. Langtoft. ERofY. |
