Plenty of sunshine again today, but a fresher feel. Maximum of 17.0C (so far).
Interesting plume of cloud off Cape Cornwall currently. http://www.weatheronline.co.uk/weath...le/premium.htm Next door has water tanks under the house, which collect rain for use (washing machine etc. not drinking). They are massive & rarely run out. They never got near empty last year, they are empty now. Graham Penzance |

Looks partially down to convergence of the low-level flow along the north coast. Plus some dynamical descent moving from ENE to WSW clearing the cloud - looks too fast for advection of low-level drier air, and the vector is wrong too. -- Freddie ----Android NewsGroup Reader---- http://usenet.sinaapp.com/ Yes, I rather thought it was convergence along the north coast. I really mentioned it to see what ideas were put forward. There has been a NW sea breeze right on the north coast, but struggling to get beyond the shore, apart from in the Hayle area, where there are no cliffs to block it. The wind has remained generally SE at John Chappell's Land's End site (which is actually nearer Gwennap Head - just to the SSE) http://www.landsendweather.info/met/mainframe.htm Now 13 days without measurable rain. 4 more days (which seems quite likely) and it'll be the longest dry spell since September 2014. (24 days). Graham Penzance |

Graham Penzance ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Yes, I noticed that plume Graham. Most interesting. A lot of hot air coming off Cornwall. You have been found out by these synoptic conditions. ;-) Len Wembury, SW Devon ----------------------------------------------------------------------- |
