Brussels on Monday 6th June 2016

Sunny and very warm until well into the afternoon.

Rapid development of TCu/Cb in the late afternoon followed by a heavy shower at 17.20 local time in the centre of Brussels, where I was. Several peals of thunder accompanied the heavy rain, which lasted 10 minutes or so. Light rain continued for a time afterwards, with thunder rumbling continually, but I saw no lightning.

No sign of any rain having fallen out here in the eastern suburbs when I got home around 19.00, but it remained close and overcast with a brief period of light rain mid-evening. Light mostly NE wind became variable in the evening.
