Well I'll claim a tie for top spot with a max of 26.1°C, coincidentally
exactly the same max as yesterday, beat that Paul Hyett

heavy rain with some (unspectacular) thunder/lightning this evening.
I've dodged the showers these past few days and today was always going
to be the most showery day for here so I can't complain.

Nothing in the rain gauge this morning, but the ground nonetheless looks
damp.

It shows imagery for approximately local noon round the globe. Use the mouse
wheel to scroll in. You can also scroll back through the archive which, at
present, goes back to 2012

I also recorded a back garden maximum of 26.1 yesterday so there!
Likely due to us missing the showers, thunderstorms and nearly all the
cloud. Just like today actually!

But neither of us has the top spot because Hull reached 26.3 according
to the Met Office midnight hot-spot update...

Yes, I swa that.
Seems strange that somewhere near the east coast would be highest when I
think there was still something of a NE drift yesterday.
