![]() It's just over 6 years since Mike Tullett passed away (June 15th, 2010). Among the many enduring memories is his excellent weather chart repository for the winter of 1962/1963. I was gladdened to see that Mike's site is still there to be accessed at: http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/mtullett/ Also, nice to see the tributes to Mike that were posted on: http://www.metbrief.com/miketullett.html (Mike, always remembered) Joe |

Mind you to be fair most of the people who post here are like that, but Mike seemed like a really good bloke. But again the NG now is a lot different to the one Mike knew and I'm sure he would have had his patience tried by know with people like Ron, Dave , Paul H , the Santon kids and col etc. |

Please. |

Please. The was no petty squabbles implied, I was mocking myself in that although Mike was always very patient with me it would have changed , FGS can't you see I'm being nice about Mike -as I always have been- and then laughing at myself. How date you suggest that I was trying anything more than honouring Mike and taking the mickey out of myself in self deprecation. read this and then I removing both posts |

Tha is what has got you into trouble. HTH, Cheers, Alastair. |

Tha is what has got you into trouble. HTH, Cheers, Alastair. No I meant Col, as I was writing I reflected on how the NG has become since Mike's death and knew that many would see me as one of the culprits and Mike would have had his patience tested with me not those I named who were the first well behaved and OT group members that came into my head. I mean Ron and Dave -come on, I also couldn't remember 'Asha' so I put the Santon kids as. It was surely obvious that these people are infinitely less of a pain up the arse than me. I mean look at Tudor his a good bloke, but I can't deny I cheese him off I don't want to, but I do. However I'm really annoyed at the willingness to misconstrue my words regarding Mike. I would never have a bad word to say about him , in fact despite my lack of popularity I don't have a bad word , niggled on occasion, about anyone bar one. Not even you Alastair we've had some bust ups with you accusing me of being paid by 'big oil'. I mean surely if you are paying someone to write your point of view you wouldn't pick me based on my grasp of grammar alone. But I don't dislike or harbour a grudge towards you |

Some years ago, expecting his site to be taken down at some point, I took the precaution of downloading all the 1962-3 stuff so that I'd be able to refer to it, but so far it's proved unnecessary. -- John Hall "Banking was conceived in iniquity and born in sin" attributed to Sir Josiah Stamp, a former director of the Bank of England |
