Default Penzance Wettest 09:00-09:00 period since Nov 2012

44.6mm of rain in the 24 hours to 09:00. The wettest 09:00-09:00 period since 48.5mm on 24/11/2012. (There have been wetter 24 hour periods of course - rainfall events do not fall neatly into my weather 'day'.)

It's still raining, another 2.5mm since 09:00, but it's now just a fine mizzle. The sun occasionally just visible through the mistiness. Air 19C, dewpoint 18C @ noon.

The ground was very dry before, so it's still soaking up the water, the stream in my garden has hardly risen at all.

All set to improve tomorrow.

A total of 25.5 mm here for the whole rainfall event. The rain set in
before mid-morning yesterday and continued until late evening. At no
time was the rain anything other than light to occasionally moderate but
it was persistent.

A few light showers overnight but it has been dry all day and the sun
made an appearance several times this afternoon making it feel very warm
and humid with DPs +20C.

The rain was perfect and much needed! All water butts now full. The most
rain in 24 hours since the 6th February (29.4 mm).
