So what else does it take for you to personally start leading by example. Afraid that I just don't get this obsession with what any particular individual might or might not do. The _only_ thing that will ultimately make any difference is agreed intergovernmental action and policy. What one person does - or even a minority of like-minded individuals - makes negligible difference. You don't have to be a green zealot to have your eyes wide open to the likely consequences of continued AGW. I normally agree with you John, but here I disagree fundamentally. It is pressure from the bottom up. Got it, nailed it! Bottom's up: https://ecocrap.files.wordpress.com/2013/04/adags.jpg |

Enoch Powell was often asked was he a racist and his response would usually be --if you mean do I believe one race is superior or inferior to another then I don't.When he died his good friend Tony Benn declared he didn't believe he was a racist rather a nationalist who cared for his country.Calling someone racist without proof is an attempt to close down an argument -- -- just ask Nigel Farage .There are racial differences initially when those races first mix but equality of opportunity(education etc.) helps smooth the issues with an even playing field.Try ignoring personal attacks emanating from the bigotry of someone who parrots the drivel of the pc brigade. It gives them pleasure when you rise to the bait or spit obscenities in response. However this is a weather discussion group so politics shouldn't be showing its hand and you shouldn't start so many OT threads.Another factor, getting stressed out or wound up here and there can only negatively influence your health with heart disease /colitis/IBS possibly affecting you. That's all I'm saying on the matter.Over and out. |

Fancy using enoch powell as an example as he was either, neither racist or politician. Personally I think he was a racist in the wrong job. But all politicians are in the wrong job are they not? But back to the topic of mutton headed thinking: How can anyone with an IQ even one as low as a wet sheep's reconcile the advent of the maximum Arctic ice recession with what that mutton head has said about August? He obviously can't see the Atlantic Approaches from his field. Or if he's hoping for no more records; perhaps he will consider throwing out his cracked ones? |

I have some very friends but I like to be a bit of a loner but amongst my friends -and yes I know people will go 'here we go', but I have a mate called Hector he came to Britain from Jamaica in 1960 and I met him through work ten years ago and in that time we have become good mates and he calls in about three times week for a chat , why he even took me to his Cajun dancing do's.-not my cup of tea. Only last Friday the issue of immigration came up and again I held my position that's it not an argument against race its an argument against resources and numbers. You know possibly the left and right in almost all cases want the improvement of peoples lives, all peoples lives, but the fundamental difference is how is that achieved. Just back to the idiots who at the drop of a hat scream racist in attempt to avoid all discussion. Does Garvey really believe I could countenance any harm to all those people over the years I've known and yet he accuses me of the most vile slanderous remarks. Anyhow enough of his poison. |
