A lovely, day with long sunny periods, very little wind and excellent visibility - lovely colours.
A good to be alive day. Maximum in Penzance just 17.8C, but it felt 'andsome in the sun with little wind. A few pics, both of the north coast at Pendeen Lighthouse (this morning) and the south at Mousehole (mid afternoon) @ http://www.turnstone-cottage.co.uk/Thurs.html Graham Penzance |

Managed to nudge back into the 20s today with a maximum of 20.2°C and it felt warm with just a light breeze. A chance to top up the tan as the sun's elevation is dropping quickly now and it won't be long before the UV goes below 3. Roll on March.... This September may end up the warmest I've recorded with 2006 and 2014 to beat (joint mean of 16.7C). -- Nick Gardner Otter Valley, Devon 20 m amsl http://www.ottervalleyweather.me.uk |

The endless good surf goes on. http://www.sennen-cove.com/index.htm The generally blocked pattern this month, with all the big swell generation locked in mid Atlantic, has meant by the time the swells have reached Cornwall they have sorted themselves out nicely. Plenty of days on the north coast with a decent period good swell - and fairly clean with a light/moderate offshore wind - as today http://www.sennen-cove.com/index.htm Looks like getting rather more mobile & windier, though winds remaining to tend offshore on many of the north coast beaches.
