Default Impressive heat island effect this morning

Rather strking. Temps at 0700 were 4 to 6 degrees in the Chilterns/Bucks/south Herts area but 14 to 16 deg in central London! (Where we are in Hampstead they were intermediate at about 10 deg.).

Even in winter, differences of 10 deg c must be fairly unusual.
