Default Perfect October weather

Just tremendous weather in South Devon. 16C, light winds and strong sunshine. I'm having to water my 2 Y-o hedge, as it is showing water stress!!

Can stay like this until April for me!

How about for the Arctic ice or do you want it to disappear for any reason?

The effusion of the viscous lava dome spilling over the southwestern rim as a broad lava flow continues at the volcano.
After a peak of activity around 1-2 Oct, the rate of effusion dropped 4 Oct, but regained again strength since 6 Oct and has been intense since. The lava dome's top slowly becomes more and more visible from below, although it currently only overspills the crater on the SW side feeding the lava flow.
The latter is currently about 2000 m long and 270 meters wide at its front at the base of the cone.
Time-lapse of the past week of activity (extended periods of bad weather are cut out)

I love those crisp October mornings with the classic frosty starts too. And of course finding out where the latest eruption has been posted on Volcano Discovery!

I must make a presentation for schools to teach. We can't leave the education of humans to wet sheep. Or can we?

Predictions! predictions! cha! or should I say baaa?

Pay no attention to the man behind the certain:
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/...n-debate-video

A double whammy for those in the know a trump card you might say. Hillary had her first podium designed to make her look the same height as Donald. This time he stopped that happening by showing her audience how tall he is.

But it also hits out at the scam she seemed to be pulling in the first debate. It is illegal, I'd heard it stated, to have cribs like she had helping her through the debates first time. It looks like he was policing her. Not that you can tell from US police practices about what they do with such powerful scam artists.

Maybe I am getting tired or something. I just don't enjoy prodding the sick sheep any more. I know I should stop but I love to entertain.

Maybe it is just too easy these days?

Another wonderful morning earlier. However the cloud has filled in, exactly as per the automated MetO forecast. I know this is often criticised when it is wrong, but it is so often exactly right too.
