Thunderstorm Penzance
After a few rumbles of thunder at 04:00, thunder set in at 06:30 passed right overhead, and then rumbled away until 08:30. Some really loud bangs and impressive lightning. Temperature in the storm around 19 degrees. By 09:30 the temperature had risen to 22.2 degrees!. Although the rainfall radar showed red echoes over Penzance at 07:00, very little rain reached the ground. Just over 1mm has fallen in total so far.
