uk.sci.weather (UK Weather) (uk.sci.weather) For the discussion of daily weather events, chiefly affecting the UK and adjacent parts of Europe, both past and predicted. The discussion is open to all, but contributions on a practical scientific level are encouraged.

Default Penzance - NW F1 Land breeze

A minimum of 1.3C last night, 1st ground frost @ 09:00.

Also a land breeze still in evidence. The gradient wind is E, but the actual wind here is NW F1, down the valley that comes out at the boating lake. Direction clearly shown by the the movement of the mistiness, including the steam issuing from a neighbour's central heating boiler.

Latest news on the Jubilee Pool - geothermal heating of a small section for Spring / Autumn use. http://www.falmouthpacket.co.uk/news...opean_funding/

To think, after the 2014 scheme the preferred options were to demolish it or turn it into a car park. Instead https://d2qwzu24wcp0pu.cloudfront.ne...ool-reopen.jpg

"To think, after the 2014 scheme"
should be
"To think, after the 2014 storm"

Direct action is better than this voting lark (in my experience)
