Whatever happened to Tomasz Schafernaker when he read the Shipping Forecast this morning at 0545? When he got to the west coast of Scotland his voice seemed to catch in his throat. After a pause he went on but the same thing happened again. Then there was an awful 3 or 4- second silence, after which the newsreader read the rest of the Shipping Forecast and the general weather forecast.

Didn't hear this live this morning though I quite often do.
Just listened on iPlayer. Very strange. You could tell something wasn't
quite right by the pauses in the delivery leading up to it. He sounded
quite distressed to be honest, hope he's OK.
