Default Last day of the month syndrome

It's been a glorious day here after early cloud, with long spells of sun and not a breath of wind, giving a max of 12c.

I shouldn't complain, but today has been 5c warmer than any other day this month and it doesn't half make a difference compiling the end of the month stats.

How often does it seem to happen that the pattern, be it cold, dry, warm or wet, is somehow spoilt on the last day of the month? Though statistically, I guess it's probably more likely.
