Examples ,so far as I'm concerned,of the best BBC presenters who give/gave it 'as it is' are/were; Helen Young,Peter Gibbs and John Hammond.I see Peter Gibbs retired in December 2016. |

I remember Helen Young warning listeners of "dense fog with visibilities down to 300 metres" which, of course, is just mist as far as civilians are concerned, not fog.
