Clearance to broken cloud and sunshine by 14.00 local time, but rather cloudy again by late afternoon. Light showers after dark. Most of the recorded rainfall fell on Wednesday evening and overnight.

Fresh to strong SW wind veered WSW to W during the afternoon: some fierce gusts around midday and during the afternoon - 49 kn at Uccle and 51 kn at the Airport.

Talking of fierce gusts, my prized citrus sailed through the winter frosts unscathed only to be upended and the pot smashed to smithereens by the wretched wind this morning.
