Here is a false colour image of Cat3 cyclone Debbi, 27th/2100z, close to
Bowen on the Queensland coast. I have seen gusts of 138 mph at nearby Hamilton Island, mean speed 112 mph in the past hour (22z to 23Z). http://www.woksat.info/etczc27/zc27-...cyc-debbi.html -- Bernard Burton Satellite images and weather data for Wokingham at: www.woksat.info/wwp.html --- This email has been checked for viruses by Avast antivirus software. https://www.avast.com/antivirus |

The automatic station seems to have withstood the onslaught, apart from the temperature sensor packing up. Note, the page updates regularly, so the sequence will only be available for a couple of days. -- Bernard Burton Satellite images and weather data for Wokingham at: www.woksat.info/wwp.html --- This email has been checked for viruses by Avast antivirus software. https://www.avast.com/antivirus |

In the 24 hours to 9:00 a.m. local time today the highest rainfall total was 646mm at Clarke Range, about 45 miles NW of Mackay. I'm not sure of the precise location but it looks to be around 800m above sea level. -- Norman Lynagh Tideswell, Derbyshire 303m a.s.l. http://peakdistrictweather.org Twitter: @TideswellWeathr |

I think it will be worth watching the Aleutian Low to see what it evolves into by the time it gets to Iceland. |
