Swanston, Edinburgh - August and Summer 2017
August 2017
Mean max 18.1C,mean min 11.3C, overall mean 14.7C Rain 78.2 mm, wettest day 19.2 mm (14th) Sunshine 174.95 hours, sunniest day 13.70 hours (17th) 5th - violent shower at 1350 GMT, 108.6 mm/hr Mean temperature, total rainfall and total sunshine all close to average. Another month dominated by westerly winds. Summer 2017 Mean max 17.9C, mean min 11.0C, overall mean 14.5C Rain 375.0 mm Sunshine 487.4 hours Wettest summer in my short (2014) record here.
