Light snow showers this evening have deposited a fresh thin cover to
what was already on the ground.

Today's situation.

With a rising temperature, traffic was entering and leaving the estate
without any trouble all day. Local roads have still not been gritted.

The temperature finally reached 0C at 10am, the first time it had risen
to or above freezing since Monday lunchtime - 117 hours of continuous
sub-zero temperatures.

Roads in Northampton now seem to be clear, but there are still problems
in the west of the county with several still blocked by snow around
Daventry. It has been left to the farmers to clear the roads that have
reopened, though some are proving too much for even their tractors to
tackle.
