Default Month-to-date rainfall

Is there any site which has on-going stats on this, or even a map?

I don't want the Met Office one, which only has this once a month has
concluded.

This link (from the Met Office/Hadley Centre) shows the current month as
it progresses (roughly one 24hr rain-day behindhand) and compares it to
the expected average for the England & Wales series.

http://www.metoffice.com/research/ha..._act_graph.gif

and here for the SE England area.

Just put the page for NW England into my favourites.

It's amazing the stuff that's buried away on the Met Office site, though
I doubt many general visitors have stumbled across this!

Col

I am in the NW of England ( I think ? ) and have only recorded and mere
4.7mm so far this month - I normally average around the 110mm mark, so very
dry indeed and no rain on the cards for at least 5 days.
