A damp evening and night, with frequent moderate rain showers until midnight and frontal rain after midnight, with no discernable gap between the two. Frontal rain has been mainly moderate with a spell of heavy (max rate 9 mm/hr) between 0530z and 0630z. Good visibility between the showers Friday, but becoming poor during the early hours. Surface winds south or southwest F3-4 at first, becoming east or southeast F2 after 0200z. Convective skies into the evening, with frontal cloud moving in over the top mid to late evening, and extensive stratus forming in the frontal rain. Final monthly rainfall was 271.6 mm.
